Mark Nash

A Dutch librarian discovers a book that's 113 years over due and sets out to
find the borrower. As he follows the mysterious trail around the world, he
ultimately uncovers what can only be called a miracle.

Mark Nash is an actor, director and teacher, and currently serves as
Artistic Director of Vermont Stage Company, Burlington's professional
theatre at FlynnSpace.

 

 

 

 

Wayne Piper

 

Wayne Piper has worked in and for public libraries for the past 30 years in a variety of progressively responsible professional positions. Most recently he served as director of professional development for the Ohio Library Council from 1993 until his retirement in late 2008.

During his tenure the program grew from non-existent to a catalog of more than 40 educational events per year. He was twice named meeting professional of the year by the Ohio Chapter of the National Speakers Association. Additionally during his tenure, the Council's programs won both state and national awards and attracted participants from across the United States as well as Canada.

Since 2001 he has been involved in the Public Library Association's "For Results" training program and beginning in 2007 he became an instructor teaching a two-day marketing seminar for PLA's Certified Public Library Administrator program . He uses both anecdotes, humor, and realistic marketing principles to help library staff understand the challenges and opportunities for promoting their services in their communities.
